Learning Assistant (Teacher Aide)

The opportunity | Te Whiwhinga mahi
Based in Albany, Kristin School is an independent, co-educational, non-denominational school with more than 1800 students from Early Learning to Year 13. Kristin has over 350 staff from our Early Childhood Centre to our Senior School, and is guided by the strong values of progress, vision, integrity and love.
We are seeking four (4) Learning Assistants to join our vibrant Inclusive Learning Team in 2026. This role supports specific Year 7 - 13 students needing extra assistance with subjects like English, Mathematics, Science and Humanities. You will seek to engage the students in tasks as provided by their Teacher.
The hours will be approximately 20-30 hours per week, over a 7-day timetable, worked between 8.30am to 3.30pm Monday to Friday. This is a term time only role.
Important Skills | Nga Pūkenga Motuhake
The ideal candidates will bring the following skills and experience:
- Teacher Aide/ Learning Assistant experience (preferred)
- Is patient and enjoys working with students
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Google docs/Gmail
