Learning Assistant (Teacher Aide)

The opportunity | Te Whiwhinga mahi
Based in Albany, Kristin School is an independent, co-educational, non-denominational school with more than 1800 students from Early Learning to Year 13. Kristin has over 350 staff from our Early Childhood Centre to our Senior School, and is guided by the strong values of progress, vision, integrity and love.
We are seeking an additional Learning Assistant to join our vibrant Inclusive Learning Team in 2026. This role supports specific Year 7 - 13 students needing extra assistance with subjects like English, Mathematics, Science, Physical Education and Humanities. You will seek to engage the students in tasks as provided by their Teacher.
The hours will be approximately 20-30 hours per week, over a 7-day timetable, worked between 8.30am to 3.30pm Monday to Friday. This is a term time only role, commencing as soon as possible.

The ideal candidates will bring the following skills and experience:
- Teacher Aide/ Learning Assistant experience (preferred)
- Is patient and enjoys working with students
- Has an understanding of neurodiversity and inclusion
- Is flexible and able to solve problems
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Google docs/Gmail
- Committed to Kristin’s values; “Progress with vision, integrity and love”.
