Kristin School is a co-educational, non-denominational, independent school on Auckland’s North Shore. It provides education for over 1800 students from Early Learning to Year 13, with dual pathways through NCEA and the International Baccalaureate programme. We seek an inspiring and innovative Homeroom teacher for our Middle School. You will teach English, Humanities and Mathematics for your class, and the rest of your timetable will be other subjects up to Year 10. You will work with a dedicated team to develop your professional practice via a collaborative-based professional development programme. Knowledge of the IB MYP (Middle Years Programme) is an advantage. However, training is provided. This role requires a commitment to the school’s co-curricular programme and attending Camp Week on an annual basis.

The role requires a passionate teacher who embraces an inquiry-based approach, encouraging students to explore and discover through the IB MYP curriculum. The teacher will collaborate closely with colleagues to share best practices, ensuring a cohesive and dynamic learning experience. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are vital for building positive relationships with both students, colleagues and parents, fostering an inclusive classroom environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for student engagement, adapting lessons to meet diverse learning needs and encouraging active participation.
